Treasures Fine Jewelry first opened its doors in the small coastal mountain community of Scotts Valley, California, in October 1999. This full-service jewelry store is owned and operated by Michael and Fuzzy K. Barajas. They take great pride in exceeding expectations with stunning designs and a solid commitment to excellent service and quality, while maintaining competitive pricing.
Beginning in 1988, Michael honed his skills as a goldsmith during five years apprenticed to two master goldsmiths in the Monterey Bay area. Originally intending to limit the business to wholesale sales and repairs, he quickly saw the need to open a retail branch.
After 20 years in the field, Michael now specializes in custom design and repairs of all types including difficult antique restoration, metal eyeglass repair, and stone setting. To enhance his already considerable skills as a designer and craftsman, he has added the latest technological equipment: a laser welder, CAD/CAM software and a mill.
Jewelry is an expression of the self. Unique, handcrafted pieces reflect the customer’s personal style. Our loyal clientele return year after year to add yet another “Treasure” to their collection of fine jewelry. There is no shortage of options. Some of our past custom designs can be seen in the Gallery section of this site. Not to be missed are “Extreme Jewelry Makeover” photos. Bring us your collection of old gold chains, rings, and stones and watch us transform them into a stunning new piece of jewelry. We also have a beautiful collection of finished jewelry, bridal and designer brands.Read More
