CineLux getting closer to second phase renovation
CineLux Scotts Valley is getting close to completion of their second phase renovation project. The goal is to have the entire Cinema Complex fully renovated and operational by mid June 2012. The second phase will increase the screens at the location to 10 auditoriums. The theatre will be serving food along with a wine bar and a new seating area is being installed to provide the patrons a place to relax while enjoying their fine foods, beverages and wines.
The Theatres now offer Staduim Seating with luxurious leather full back height rocking chairs in all 10 of their auditoriums. The newly installed HD audio and video equipment fully enhance the viewing experience for the customer. CineLux also offers D-Box Seating Simulators in two of their auditoriums for an emerced viewing expereience.

FREE Electronics Collection Events April 21, 10:00 – 2:00
To help Celebrate Earth Day King’s Village Shopping Center and Metech Recycling have partnered to offer a free Electronics Collection Event on Saturday April 21, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The event will take place in front of Nob Hill Foods and The Vineyard Church with Metech employess available to assist with the unloading of your electronic items.
A percentage of the funds raised by Metech will be donated to Scotts Valley Artisans a local non-profit.
The E-Waste Recycling Event is free and open to anyone wishing to recycle their electronics properly as Metech is a Certified e-Stewards Recycler meaning that 95% of all materials will be securely recycled for re-manufacture. SCOTTS VALLEY, CA – Scotts Valley Artisans will be hosting the first annual Spring Forward Arts &
Crafts Festival on Saturday, March 10, from 11:00am to 6:00pm in the King’s Village Shopping Center.

Over 200 Santa Cruz County artists will be showing, selling, and demonstrating their work throughout the
sidewalks and breezeways of the King’s Village Shopping Center and inside Scotts Valley Artisans
community art center. The festival will include food, music, and kid’s activities.
Scotts Valley Artisans is a non-profit community art center featuring the work of over 150 Santa Cruz
County artists. Scotts Valley Artisans provides a permanent and affordable showcase for local artists to
display and sell their work. Our goal is to expand the reach and elevate the profile of artists in Santa Cruz
County, to increase access to affordable, handmade art for the community, and to foster programs and
events that will bring the community together, while helping to solidify Santa Cruz County’s reputation
as an art destination center. Upcoming events and programs in 2012 will include a full schedule of art
education classes taught by our participating artists, an Artist-in-Residence program, an outdoor crafters
market, and much more.

Art Show & Fundraiser for Bryan Stow 5/14/11
On Saturday, May 14 from 1:00-4:00p.m., the Kings Village Shopping Center will be transformed into a kid inspired play land. There will be live performances, an obstacle course, a bouncy house, face painting, an Art Show at Drawn2Art/KidsArt and more for kids of all ages.
American Medical Response (AMR) will be there with an ambulance and invites families to stop by and take an-up close look. Various vendors will setup booths with merchandise, jewelry, food, “For Stow” t-shirts and more. At 3 p.m. a hosted live auction & raffle will take place with prizes from many local businesses and organizations.
On Sunday, May 15 the Scotts Valley Grand Prix Returns is being held at Canepa Design, located at 4900 Scotts Valley Drive, from 1:00-9:00 p.m. Mark Davis, CEO of Syzygy Sports Group has put together a whole day of fun for the family. There will be bike races and Drawn2Art activities for the kids, a raffle, vendors, a food court, race announcers, DJ’s, a podium presentation stage and a children’s play area that will include a bouncy house, climbing wall and more.
Bring the whole family for a community weekend full of fun activities, entertainment and for the opportunity to contribute to a very worthy cause for one of Scotts Valley’s own!
